Confused about PvP role in this game
I have a 13W/Mo and so far think this game is a blast. I have played some in the arenas and have been shocked by the maturity in the arena. Any other game I have played with PvP has had the "l33t d00d" mentality, and I very rarely see it here. That being said....
1. Will guilds be able to build guild halls, etc? 2. Will guilds be able to raid each other? 3. If no to the above, why bother with PvP? I played Shadowbane, and though pretty weak in most areas IMO, the way you could build a guild hall, and raid/defend, was an absolute BLAST. Thanks for any answers. |

I haven't PvP'd in GW yet, other than the random arena thing. But from I understand is that GW is similar to a fps like quake. You have regular death matches but also capture the flag type pvp etc.
Think I also read that you can fight in your guildhalls but these will undoubtly be instanced like much everything else. |

1) Yes guilds can get guild halls but I'm not sure how, when, or where because I'm no an officer in my guild. Just a simple peon. 2) Not sure if they will be able to raid each other but GOD do I hope so. And yes, PVP in the arena is kind've like a FPS because you can do capture the flag battles, last man (group) standing, etc. It really is a lot of fun. To me the biggest part of playing this game is trying to un-lock more skills with my PVE character so I can decimate in the PVP arenas. |
